Business Development Manager - Engineering Resins

Position Summary:  Business Development sales person to pursue and land masterbatch and contract manufacturing opportunities at major resin producers in the Engineering Polymers market. 
Position Requirements/Qualifications:  The position will be a mix of pursuing business at new customer targets and managing / growing business at existing customer accounts. 

Education:  Minimum requirement is a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Business, Chemistry or Engineering.
Experience:  The successful candidate must have sales experience and a track record of growing business in the Engineering Polymers masterbatch, compounding, or contract manufacturing market.  He or she must be a self-starter who is able to travel and work without direct supervision.  Relationships with the resin producers are a definite plus.

Business Development:  Identifying appropriate customer targets, conveying Americhem’s value proposition, pursuing and landing business.

Account Management:  A portion of the assignment will involve managing existing customer accounts which entails growing our relationship within those accounts, responding to customer requests, and identifying, pursuing, & landing additional opportunities for growth.

Presentation, Computer Skills & Rudimentary Business Analysis:  Ability to make presentations via Powerpoint®, develop quotes via MS Excel and MS Word, and navigate in Americhem’s corporate e-mail environment (Lotus Notes).  Candidate must also be familiar with Microsoft Excel pivot tables and able to mine data for use in rudimentary profitability analyses.  

Ability to Travel:  Overnight travel could be as high as 60%

Demonstrates Interpersonal Skills:  Must be able to work independently and with a team.  Must also have the ability to manage and implement projects as they relate to new business opportunities with an attention to detail, effective communication, and effective time management that results in delivering commitments on time.
