Americhem’s Cerberon™ thermoplastic compounds were designed as an excellent replacement for injectable molded TPV. These alloyed elastomers combine the characteristics of cross-linked vulcanized rubber with the processing ease of thermoplastics. As part of our family of performance compounds, Cerberon™ TPV provides injection molders with the ability to produce products with rubber-like characteristics that may be tough to manufacture with traditional rubber materials. Expanded temperature use, as well as good heat aging and flex fatigue can also be expected from Cerberon™ compounds. Manufactured using an environmentally friendly production process, Cerberon™ TPV is fully recyclable in-process or at the end of part life.

Americhem combines its experience in tailored compound design with a highly refined compounding process to create distinct aesthetic, functional, acoustic and tactile experiences to please even the most discriminating customers. Cerberon™ thermoplastic compounds process with medium-fast to fast injection rates. With good fluidity, Cerberon™ TPV allows for thin-wall parts creation with wall thicknesses as low as 2 mm, depending on the product shape, material compounding and molding process.
From product additives to complex color solutions, Cerberon™ thermoplastic elastomers can be tailored to meet the exact requirements of your application for optimum performance, durability and function. Our material scientists have the technical expertise to design specific ratios of additives to provide the greatest impact while maintaining key properties.
Market research indicates that an automobile’s interior strongly influences a buyer’s perception of a vehicle’s quality. The Americhem Cerberon™ 2000 Series offers automotive manufacturers the ability to design and manufacture highly durable and aesthetic interior trims, door panels, armrests, and center consoles. Cerberon™ TPV provides surface qualities that include chemical resistance and UV resistance. We specialize in coloring technology that supports coherent, harmonious design to make an impactful impression. In addition, Cerberon™ TPV provides the opportunity to reduce part weight due to its lower density, helping automotive manufacturers meet fuel economy targets.
