CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (November 13, 2018) – Americhem, a globally recognized designer and manufacturer of custom color masterbatch, functional additives, engineered compounds and performance technologies, is expanding its portfolio with a new product to add to the already successful InLubeTM product line. Americhem Engineered Compounds has developed InLubeTM PCECO130, a wear resistant alloy based on a polycarbonate that provides excellent lubrication for optimum wear and friction performance without the use of PTFE.
Americhem was able to eliminate the use of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in the product and create an alloy that has unmatched wear resistance in plastic-on-metal and plastic-on-plastic applications. In independent lab testing, Americhem’s product out performed similar current products in the marketplace.
This product can span across multiple industries and applications such as medical devices, data storage, and business equipment. InLubeTM PCECO130 is available in standard and high flow grades dependent on customer needs. FR grades are under development.
“Our customers look to us to set the bar for innovation and performance,” states Jim Figaniak, Vice President & General Manager of Americhem Engineered Compounds. “InLubeTM PCECO130 brings our customers the next generation technology they are looking for.”Download Press Release
